Appeals and Complaints
You can ask us to have another look at any decision made as part of the Your Choice Your Home scheme. You need to let us know in writing what decision you would like us to look at again within 21 days of the decision being made.
The decision will be looked at by the Housing Team Leader - Customer Services of North Norfolk District Council and we will let you know the outcome of this in writing. We would hope to let you know within 28 days of receiving your request although this might not be possible if we receive a large number of requests. If we cannot let you know within 28 days we will let you know and tell you when we think we will be able to let you know
If you are not happy with the outcome of the appeal you can make a complaint under the Council’s Complaints Procedure.
If your complaint is about why you have not been offered a property then please direct your complaint to the relevant housing partner.
If you have made a complaint and you are still not happy you may be able to take the matter further through the Local Government Ombudsman or through the judicial review process. Please discuss this with the Housing Options Team of the Council or seek independent advice from the Citizens Advice Bureau, Shelter or a solicitor
